ABOUT US
The Hoopin4Life Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in honor of William Brandon Demery Vaughn, to carry on his love for people, his love for the game of basketball, and in memory of his dream that he didn’t live to see come true.
Our vision is to be a positive difference in the lives of youth in the Greater Austin communities (for now) who are striving to achieve their collegiate and career goals. Upon achieving their goals, it is our hope that our presence in their lives will inspire them to reach out to help others and to be a positive difference in the life of someone else - allowing Brandon's life, love and legacy to live on through others.
Brandon’s love for his family and friends (who he treated like family), will forever be etched in our hearts, our lives, and in all that we do through the efforts of this foundation. Brandon never met a stranger, and his smile was contagious. His sincere, fun-loving and magnetic personality drew you to him and immediately you would become his next best friend.....and your life would forever be changed, because Brandon was his brother’s keeper.
With Brandon’s character and heart in mind, we (his family) have formed this organization to reach young adults just like Brandon, in an attempt to make that same kind of (positive) difference – so their lives will forever be changed.

Our Mission & Goal
The mission of 'The Foundation' is simple - to promote post high school education, encourage academic excellence and to enable youth to define and achieve their college career goals through the awards of our Memorial Scholarship Program based on our community fundraising efforts and the donations of our corporate sponsors.
Our ultimate goal is to be able to offer two full 4-year scholarships each academic year.
